You can add these later. Neither pack is required to play.
Background music About 300 MB
The soundtrack for your travels. Extract the BGM folder beside WarboundRO.exe; music then plays automatically on each map.
HD assets About 13 GB
Higher-resolution textures, icons and AI-upscaled sprites.
How to enable HD assets
Place wro_hd.wpk beside WarboundRO.exe. Open Settings → Graphics in-game and enable HD Textures, HD Icons or AI sprites. Without this pack, use the native or Faithful assets.
Will it run on my PC?
Requirements for the base client. Allow extra disk space for optional packs and extraction.

The client closes as soon as I open it
Re-extract the client into a local folder such as C:\Games\WarboundRO. Avoid cloud-synced folders and special characters in the path. With the Light Client, check that both clean kRO archives are beside the executable.
Windows shows “Windows protected your PC”
The client is not yet signed with a commercial code-signing certificate. If you downloaded it from this page and trust the source, choose More info → Run anyway to launch it.
I can’t connect
Check the server status at the top of this page. If the server is online, check whether your firewall permits WarboundRO, or try another network. If it still fails, share the error message on Discord.
The game runs slowly on my PC
If your PC has a dedicated NVIDIA or AMD GPU, select it for WarboundRO in Windows graphics settings.
- Open Settings → System → Display → Graphics.
- Add
WarboundRO.exeas a desktop app. - Open its graphics options and choose the dedicated GPU or High performance.
How do I update the client?
Use the update prompt on the game’s login screen. You don’t need a separate patcher.
